“They Want to Steal From You — And They Just Might Get Away With It.”

Let me tell you something that ought to make every American sit up straight and lose a little sleep tonight:

They want to steal from you.
And not just your wallet.
Not just your house.
Not just your inheritance.

They want to steal your name. Your identity. Your very existence. And in this country, right now, it’s frighteningly easy for them to do it.

We live in a time when criminals can marry you without your knowledge, forge your signature, rack up debts, buy homes, start businesses, and even take out life insurance policies on your life—as if you were already dead. And while they do this, while they rob you blind behind the scenes, the law looks the other way or shows up late, holding paperwork and apologies.

Well, I’m here to tell you this:
The laws are broken.
The protections are weak.
And the people in charge of fixing it?
They’ve been asleep at the wheel—or worse, they’ve sold the damn thing.

This Isn’t a Hollywood Script. This Is Happening.

Some con artist out there can forge a marriage license, slap your name on it, and walk into a courtroom claiming to be your spouse. In most states, no one will double-check with you. No phone call. No letter. No red flag.

Then they use that phony marriage to open bank accounts, claim legal rights to your property, and get access to parts of your life even your own family can’t reach without a subpoena.

They can take out credit cards in your name.
They can start businesses under your identity.
They can even take out a life insurance policy on you—waiting for you to die so they can cash out on a crime you never knew was committed.

And here’s the real kicker:
The burden of proof falls on you.
Not the criminal. Not the bank.
You. The victim.

You have to prove you didn’t sign that form.
You have to prove you never got married.
You have to prove you didn’t know someone took out that policy on your life.

Tell me, how the hell is that justice?

The Criminals Are Evolving. The Law Is Not.

I’ve spent my life defending the accused, the wronged, the forgotten. And I’ll be the first to say—our system is supposed to protect the innocent. But when it comes to identity theft, fraudulent marriages, financial manipulation, and paper-trail crimes, the system is a joke. A soft, slow-moving, bureaucratic joke—and the only ones laughing are the criminals cashing checks in your name.

Because the truth is:
The law wasn’t built for this kind of crime.

It was built for bootleggers, bank robbers, and burglars with ski masks.
But the criminals today?
They wear suits. They know software.
They know how to exploit every crack in the system.
And they’re counting on you being too slow, too confused, too tired, and too broke to fight back.

This Isn’t Just Fraud. It’s War.

You can’t fight an enemy you don’t know exists. But make no mistake: this is war.

It’s war against your privacy.
It’s war against your freedom.
It’s war against your ability to live in peace and die with dignity.

And let’s be honest—how many people have the time or money to hire lawyers, chase paperwork, appear in court, and still convince a judge that they’re not the crazy one?

Because here’s another truth they don’t like to say out loud:

Once someone claims they married you, or shared finances with you, or bought a house with you—it becomes your word against a forged document.
And in a courtroom, sometimes that’s enough to lose everything.

The System Must Change. Now.

We must reform our marriage record systems.
We must tighten the laws around identity verification.
We must make it a criminal act—with mandatory prison time—to enter into a fraudulent marriage or sign financial documents in another’s name.

We must require notification—not optional, not “suggested”—when someone applies for a marriage license, credit card, business license, or insurance policy in your name.
We have the technology.
What we lack is the will.

We need new laws.
Stronger enforcement.
Harsher punishment.
And above all, a justice system that sides with the victim from day one.

You May Not Know Yet. But One Day, You Might.

You may read this and think, “That would never happen to me.”

But I’ve been in courtrooms where widows lost their homes because someone forged a deed.
I’ve seen war veterans swindled out of their pensions.
I’ve seen honest, hard-working people forced to prove they never married someone they’ve never met.

So don’t wait to care.

Because if it can happen to them,
It can damn well happen to you.

And when it does, you’ll remember what I said:
They want to steal from you. And if we don’t fix these laws, they’ll keep doing it—one forged signature at a time.
